Warts and Verruca's are caused by the Human papiloma virus (HPV). The most common appearance is that of a small cauliflower type growth on the sole of your foot usually containing tiny black dots. Although harmless verruca can be painful or uncomfortable with weight bearing and can look unsightly. To avoid spreading the verruca, avoid picking or scratching the area and cover with a plaster. Many verruca will disappear on their own, but this may take some time.
If painful or unsightly there are treatments available.
Following a routine footcare appointment in which a full medical history will be taken, if Verruca are diagnosed treatment options can be discussed including any costs involved.
Some treatments may require multiple appointments.
